PROGRAMME SUPERVISORS

The team of volunteers is supported by 2 programme supervisors who are with them throughout the programme. One is recruited from the UK and one is recruited from the exchange country. Their role is to manage the logistics of the exchange, and find suitable volunteer placements and host homes. They also promote individual learning and personal development, as well as facilitating peer support and learning.

HOST HOMES

Volunteers are distributed in host homes in the towns of Thurso and Wick and the village of Watten in between. The boys spent the first month in a house together due to housing issues, but were eventually placed in homes of their own too. We want to say a massive thankyou to all the host families so far, the programme wouldn’t work without you and we’re all learning alot…

WORK PLACEMENTS

It wouldn’t really be worthwhile coming up here if we weren’t working, so in seperate pairs to living counterparts we’ve been placed in a variety of placements in the two main towns.
